For creators
Run your audience server on hosting we pay for.
You bring the community. We run the server and everything under it. The read your viewers hear is “the server you’re watching runs on Shulkerboxes”, not a discount code.
Email support@shulkerboxes.com with your channel and the season you have in mind. A person on our team reads every message and replies.
What we handle
- A large dedicated server with room for 100 players at once, and a pregenerated world.
- It stays up while players are on, and wakes when someone joins.
- Whitelist or open join. Your operators, your rules.
- Your world in and out. Upload the one you have, download it any time. It is yours to keep.
- Data packs you choose. Add a pack’s .zip in your server’s Settings, or remove one, without restarting the server. Packs are made for Minecraft 26.3, and packs that change world generation can’t run yet.
- A private Discord channel with our team, and a named person who answers you.
What we can add for the right creator
None of this is standard. If it fits your plans, ask us.
- Planning a competition or a big one-off video? Ask us about event infrastructure.
- Running a contest with prizes? Ask us about prize support.
- Want more out of your footage? Ask us about help getting it clipped.
- Bigger plans than one server? Ask us about bigger servers.
How a season works
- You tell your community about recording and the hosting notice before anyone joins. We give you a plain-English announcement to pin.
- We set the server up with you: the world, your operators, and who can join.
- You share the address. Your players join by address from Minecraft: Java Edition.
- At the end of the season, we have one feedback call with you.
- The world is yours after. Download it, or ask us about keeping the server going.
Why it’s free
Shulkerboxes is free because gameplay on its servers is recorded and used to build datasets for training and evaluating AI systems, and those datasets are licensed to other companies. Every player sees the hosting notice before playing. Read the hosting notice and how Shulkerboxes is free.
FAQ
Do my viewers pay anything?
No. There are no ads and no credit card.
Do I need to push a discount code?
No. We have nothing to sell your viewers. The read is “the server you’re watching runs on Shulkerboxes”. You get your own link for your description, so we can see who came from you.
Can I bring my existing world?
Yes. Upload your Java world when we set up, or start a new one. You can download it any time.
Can my moderators be operators?
Yes. You make your moderators in-game operators. They help run the world; the server settings stay with you.
Can I use modpacks or plugins?
Not yet. Servers run Paper, with homes and /tpa built in. Data packs, yes: add a pack’s .zip in your server’s Settings.
Who can play?
You need to be in the United States, Spain, Germany, Mexico or Brazil, and invited. There is a waitlist.
What happens to my audience’s gameplay data?
Shulkerboxes is free because gameplay on its servers is recorded and used to build datasets for training and evaluating AI systems, and those datasets are licensed to other companies. Licensed datasets are de-identified.
What size of channel do you work with?
Any size, if you have a plan for a season.
